Setting the scene…
Just a moment while your story takes shape.
You are all playing as the voices inside the head of a character in a story. When the game begins, you'll be given the mission your character is trying to complete.
Venice, 1881. You are Dr Margaret Holt, here on holiday with your husband and young daughter. Since dawn the air has tasted of copper and the sea has been climbing the steps — something is coming.
Find your family and get all three of you to safety before the city drowns.
Each round, you're given a scene and three ways forward. Debate as a group — you have five minutes to reach a unanimous choice. If you can't agree in time, the game decides for you.
Each player is secretly one of these voices — no two players share the same one. Apart from the Demon, every voice wants the mission to succeed; they just disagree on how.
There may be a Demon among you — or there may not. The Demon wins if the character dies or the mission fails. They'll argue like everyone else, quietly steering you toward disaster. At any point in the story you can take the wrong path, the mission fails, and the Demon wins.
Reach the end of the mission alive and successful, and the voices win — the one who swayed the most choices takes the glory.
At any point, you can accuse another player of being any of the 4 voices. Get it right and they're out of the game. Get it wrong and you're out. Accuse boldly — but be sure.
